As an executive producer, entertainer, and media darling, Sunni Stephens mesmerizes audiences with her dynamic blend of pop music and standards, reminiscent of stars from Lena Horne to Diana Ross. She loves taking great music from yesteryear and re-inventing it for today’s audience, always giving them something they won’t expect but will find irresistible.
Her ambition is to be recognized as a multi-faceted entertainer and producer, who stands apart from current music industry leaders. This has fueled many different genres of entertainment including producing and writing music for off-Broadway musicals as well as the internationally acclaimed stage play, The Hip Hop Project; and the award winning sitcom, The Bernie Mac Show. Sunni’s approaches as an entertainer is simple–take the great music of the past and re-invent it. She studies the greats and applies their entertainment styles to today’s generation of music and culture. Some of her favorites are Judy Garland, Fred Astaire, Marilyn Monroe, Billie Holiday, Dorothy Dandridge, Cher, and Tina Turner. Sunni’s has garnered international success through radio and tours in such countries as India, Italy, China, and soon England. This is evident in her current dance single, “Hot Summer Nights”, released in Italy with Bliss Music Corporation.
These days she is starring and producing Miami’s #1 Dinner Show, Cocktails & Cabaret in the South Florida Market and working on a new album release. A talent with true depth and integrity, Sunni Stephens career is poised for continued success.
